The popular harbour town of Oban is only 12 miles along the coast from the Isle of Seil and offers an excellent choice of shops, restaurants, cinema, island boat trips, leisure facilities and the famous Oban Scotch Whisky Distillery. Oban is known as “the Gateway to the Isles”, and ferries can be taken to various Scottish West coast islands including Mull, Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Barra, South Uist, Islay Lismore, Staffa and Iona.
