Customer Reviews of The Barn at the Bakery, Moniaive - Sleeps 2

st comment: A return stay in Moniaive and the first time at this property. We would definitely return there. Secluded yet in the village. Our winter stay was made all the more cosy with underfloor heating. Feb 2012.

nd comment: Fantastic cottage, will tell all my friends it was just great. Oct 2011.

rd comment: This property is situated in a picturesque village with three/four restaurants, and three or more pubs. Lots of lively activity from locals and clearly an enterprising place to visit for walks, (owners actually publish walks) and other tours to coast, bike riding, boating, fishing etc. Lots of local art interest which is both surprising and very attractive. We had a great time and want to go back to the area to explore further. Owners very helpful and friendly. A good sized barn conversion for two persons with up to date facilities and space to get around. Really good value for money too. Sept 2011.

th comment: A beautiful space to stay in. We really felt the benefit of the ceiling height, the light flooding in and the French windows opening on to the deck and a fabulous view. July 2011.

th comment: The village was friendly and the shop well stocked. A variety of eating places provided options for an evening meal if we didn’t feel like cooking. We were encouraged by the owners to help ourselves to raspberries from the garden-which we did! July 2011.

th comment: This is a great place, excellently sited for walks. Hugh and Moira were very welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. Moniaive is a lovely villagewith two pubs which serve food and two other restaurants, as vegetarians we were able to happily eat out locally almost every night. The house is very modern and comfortable, the patio doors fold back allowing the beautiful view of the lovely gardens and the hills from within the lounge. The decked area is well appointed and great to relax on. June 2011.

th comment: Very nice over-all - can’t think of a fault. If you are a walker, do the ’Striding Arches’ walk at the head of the valley - about 10/12 miles for the full thing: very peaceful and fine views. April 2011.
