Today we set off from Fort William to Skye with a wonderful drive that passes the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (of Harry Potter train fame)  as we head to Mallaig which is a busy little harbour on Scotland’s west coast and the traditional route to Skye before the bridge was built in the 2000s. From here we take the ferry onto the southern tip of the Isle of Skye. After arriving in Armadale, we will drive across the Sleat Peninsula before spending time in Glenbrittle with its famed waterfall or Elgol with its wonderful seascapes and dramatic views of the Cuillin Hills and Talisker with its beautiful Bay. From here we then drive to our overnight base in the Lochalsh and Skye area where will sleep for the next two nights of the tour.

Today is your opportunity to see some of the wonders of Skye. We cannot predict what we will see as your guide will choose the best itinerary to suit the weather and local conditions to give you a chance to get off the beaten track and slowly discover the best spots for photo opportunities. We might see whales and backing sharks or head for the tip of the Neist Peninsula, or head north to the Old Man of Storr. You can never predict the weather, but there is one thing that is sure which is we will pack it in! In the late afternoon we return to our overnight base for the evening and a good night's rest!
