Assynt in Sutherland is remote but has marvellous mountains, lochs and sandy bays making it interesting but very peaceful. This delightful highland style house offers a good standard and comfortable holiday stay. Easy walking, with a small loch a few hundred yards from the doorstep and sheep grazing close by. Famous mountains within easy reach and numerous vast conservation areas. Loch fishing by permit. Shop 7 miles, pub 8 miles.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 2 twin bedrooms. Bathroom with toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel inc). Partial NSH inc. Elec heaters and elec by meter reading. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. T/dryer. Freezer. Natural grassed area and garden chairs. Parking (2 cars). NB: There is a stream in the garden.

4th comment: Well appointed accommodation in a wonderful location for exploring the North West Highlands. There is a lot to explore and Archie & Fergus (the Scotties) loved it. ps Take your bathing costume as the many beaches are too good to miss. Sept 2008.

5th comment: We loved the cottage and it’s location. It was quiet but still within reach of lots to do. If we didn’t want to drive, the loch and the beach were easy to get to. The caretaker was lovely and everyone we met was very helpful. Super time. Want to live there-even when it’s wet! Aug 2007.
