Customer Reviews of The Hunting Lodge, Cairngorms - Sleeps 6

st comment: Superb seclusion and comfort with surrounding woodland and Cairngorm views. Good access to nearby towns and attractions. A really solid timber property. April 2012.

nd comment: Absolutely lovely. Warm, if not too hot with the wood burner on. Sid the squirrel and woody the woodpecker a joy to say "morning" to! Wish we’d taken our bikes as had to rely on the car to get into the village. Drove to the Glen in Newtonmore which is worth a trip for the view as well as all the local views. The butcher in Kingussie breeds his own lambs and it is delicious, if you want quality. Overall, if you take a wash bag and clothes everything is there for you to enjoy. Feb 2012.

rd comment: Beautiful property in the most breathtaking location. The photos don’t do the accommodation justice. It’s large but cosy and like a home from home but in a better location. Oct 2011.

th comment: Ideal picture postcard location - a hidden spacious cottage in a private wood. First class location, fittings & fixtures - you could not want better. This is underwritten by a recent 4 star gold award. If you like a quality cottage with privacy and space look no further. There is a large grassed area adjacent to the Cottage (ideal for football / games) and table tennis / darts in the double garage for those rainy days. There are walks on your door step so you don’t even need to use the car. There is a patio area downstairs with table/chairs for the alfresco meals and a verandah upstairs if you want a quite read, a glass of wine and a view of the Cairngorms. The only downside is the weather and as long as you cater for that with the right outdoor gear, activities for indoors and contingencies for indoor visits then you’ll love it. If you are into mountain biking there is loads just on your doorstep and more technical rides a short drive away. I better not give too much away as I may not be able to book it for next year! Sept 2011.

th comment: A beautiful cottage in a great environment. May 2011.

th comment: The Hunting Lodge is amazing. The location is fantastic tucked away in the woods. The rooms are lovely, very big and warm. There is everything there for a fantastic break and lots of things in the area to do and see. We would love to go again. Oct 2010.

th comment: We enjoy the loneliness of the house and being directly in the nature. Walking tracks direct from the house and deer noises in the night. Everything was great. Oct 2010.

th comment: A great cottage, close enough to civilisation, but secluded enough to make you think you are in an enchanted wood! Great local walks and mountain biking straight from you front door. What more could you ask for. Cottage layout, fixtures & fitting spot on and the "games room" was ideal for those inevitable rainy days. Sept 2010.

th comment: It lived up to expectations and what we saw on the internet. The lodge was very clean with everything we needed. It was furnished very homely and with good taste. Sept 2010.

th comment: Simply stunning. Vey comfortable! Aug 2010.
