The Insider Festival, Aviemore will be back in 2015 .
True to its name the Insider Festival is all about small, idiosyncratically-named stages tucked away in the woods of the Inshriach Estate. A small crowd and a high number of artists, makes this event a celebration of music, food and performance. A perfect choice for those who are uncomfortable with festival crowds.
The only cross-platform multi-arts festival in the Borders. Some of the events include music by local performers, visual art representing the local area, author readings, newly-commissioned theatre performances, film, a crafts fair and tours with historical, humorous, musical, landscape and literary themes.
So where will you begin with this year’s Fringe By the Sea Festival in August in North Berwick? - the best of British blues music? Fringe First winners? Laugh ‘til you wheeze? American beauties? Maybe it will be the authors that catch your eye – or some of the wildlife and history events celebrating this Year of Natural Scotland.
