Customer Reviews of Beach Bay Cottage on Lewis, Sleeps 4 with Sauna + Jacuzzi

st comment: Amazing cottage. It was obvious that the owners were very keen for their guests to have a wonderful time. It was so nice to arrive to a welcome pack (red wine and smoked salmon) and to discover there was plenty of the minor things such as tea towels, washing up liquid, etc all available in the cottage for use. Feb 2012.

nd comment: Everything about this cottage is superb; seems to have been designed, built and equipped with no expense spared and if we had the opportunity this is exactly holiday home (or permanent home) that we would build for ourselves. The location is stunning with pristine beaches and plenty of wildlife and the position of the cottage is probably as good as it gets! The weather was terrible but we were hoping for ’weather’ (what else for the far north in November) with storm force winds battering the coast but we always felt safe and snug and on the days we didn’t brave the weather it was a delight to stay in with our unrivalled views of the bay and the cosy wood burning stove. The local support was excellent too; the cottage was spotless on arrival and on one of the days when the storm knocked out all power for the area, there was a friendly visit to check we were OK and even the offer to share their meal if we couldn’t cook (but top of the wood burning stove is a good backup if the electric cooker has no power). If you go in winter then you need to be prepared for bad weather, the likelihood that local attractions will be closed and the possibility of power cuts and ferry cancellations but I can’t think of a more comfortable place for a winter retreat. Dec 2011.

rd comment: Fantastic property in superb location everything you could require. The owners should be very proud of what they have achieved here, amazing views in such relaxing surroundings. The cottage itself has everything you could require and of a very high standard. Would certainly return. Oct 2011.

th comment: Beach Bay cottage was fantastic. Beautiful setting looking out onto a magnificent beach. There are many other stunning crystal clear beaches in walking distance from the cottage and hardly another person on any of them. Extremely scenic and relaxing place to stay. The newly built cottage was also perfect. Very unique in its design and equipped with everything you could wish for with a cosy feel at the same time. Sauna and jacuzzi are great after long walks. The Auberge restaurant a stones throw away is well worth a visit. Delicious seafood. Nearby ’Seatrek’ offers kayak hire and boat trips which were fun. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Aug 2011.

th comment: We booked this cottage for our honeymoon. We arrived late at night to total darkness so we explored the cottage which we found to be absolutely stunning, no expense has been spared and everything you could possibly ever need has been provided. We woke in the morning to breathtaking views from the cottage and total tranquility. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for time away from the hustle and bustle of life, we have already booked for next year. Aug 2011.
