Laide

North of Gairloch and facing into Gruinard Bay, and just along the road from Drumchork and Aultbea. Small coastal settlement

The small crofting has a small church on the beach that was said to have been built by St Columba in the 500s but this is unlikely. The present ruined structure is 17th century but was built on some previous structure.

The views across Gruinard Bay are wonderful towards the mountains in the North. If you are stopping there is a wonderful woodland walk and a village shop.
