Situated amidst mountains, forests and glens in an elevated situation ,this former croft house stands in a large enclosed garden in a lovely peaceful rural location 1/2 mile down a gated track from the Drumnadrochit to Beauly road. The house was virtually rebuilt and the renovation has created a very comfortable, warm and well-appointed home, whilst retaining much character with pine-lined ceilings and a stone feature wall round the stove in the living room. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available and visitors are welcome to walk beyond the garden onto the hillside which rises behind the house. The conservatory is a real sun-trap and the ideal place from which to observe wildlife in the garden.
Unlimited scope for walking and bird-watching on the owner's 600 acres where there are several archaeological sites and free fishing on 6 lochs. Other activities in the area include golf, pony trekking and sailing. There are many places of interest to explore including the famous Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre, Urquhart Castle and pleasure cruises on Loch Ness. Shops, pub/hotel 2 miles.
1 ground floor twin bedroom, 2 double rooms and 1 single with coombed ceiling and rooflight, living room with stove, conservatory, kitchen with dining area, ground floor shower room.
All electric plus stove. Fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, television, DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Customer Reviews of Croft House nr Drumnadrochit - Sleeps 7
"An excellent location, just far enough from the main road but close enough to amenities. A very comfortable and clean cottage." Mrs Fretwell
"Very happy to have chosen this cottage, we stayed at the cottage for a total of 3 weeks and were sad to leave. We felt at home immediately. The cottage is in a great location, remote but just 5 minutes from the A82. The owners were friendly, even gave us some free range eggs. We didn't see much of them, which was fine as we had everything we needed. The view from the house and garden is stunning. The garden is large and gets the sun. The lounge is cosy with a wood burning stove and the kitchen is good, but a squeeze for 7 people eating together. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable." Miss H. Webster
