Situated on the edge of the seaside conservation village of Rockcliffe, this detached character property overlooking White Loch offers an ideal holiday base from which to explore the Solway coastline and surrounding area. Wonderful forest, coastal and lochside walks from the doorstep and direct cycling access into Dalbeattie Forest - one of the ‘7 Stanes’. The delightful sailing village of Kippford (with two pubs) and the beaches of Rockcliffe and Sandyhills are just over 2 miles away. RSPB Mersehead and NT properties are nearby. Shop 150 yards, pub ½ mile.

1st comment: Perfect for walking /golfing holiday( with large dog ). Easy to manage accommodation which is also attractive. Village shop has everything! Truly. Fresh meat from superb local butcher, no need to go further to shop. Nov 2011.

4th comment: Perfect holiday cottage - easy to find, great location with lovely little shop just across the road. Perhaps the most comfortable cottage we have ever stayed in - too nice to leave! Has been beautifully renovated by the very friendly owners with all home comforts. Lovely walks direct from cottage into the forest or down to the beach. Great for dog-owners - our labrador loved his first holiday! Aug 2011.

7th comment: The cottage was gorgeous. It was spotless and had every convenience. The owners had left us a welcome pack with milk, wine, and a starter fuel pack for the wood burning stove. It had good off road parking. It was in an ideal location for peace and quiet but close to a small shop that supplied most essential items. Nov 2010.

14th Comment Outstanding in every way would highly recommend. Garden secure for dog. Recently refurbished to very high standard. Great living space, exceptionally light & sunny cottage. Wonderful friendly & welcoming owners. Even supplied dog bowl, towel & welcome treats for Lucy the dog. Owner requests no dog upstairs so needs to be well behaved, as stairs are in open living space, only inside door downstairs is to lounge. May 2010.
