In a splendid rural situation in the grounds of the owners hill farm and surrounded by glorious scenery, this environmentally aware property features the original water wheel housed in the adjacent steading with viewing gallery, which provides a proportion of the electricity supply to the house. Riding lessons by a qualified instructor on the farm are available by prior arrangement (subject to instructor availability), and on the private hill land in winter the owners set up a nursery ski slope which is ideal for sledging or skiing for beginners – snow depending. For the more experienced, the slopes of Glenshee are a short drive away and ski hire can be arranged nearby. Excellent walking is literally on the doorstep, open access to farmland (crop depending) allows hill and burnside walks in abundance, and the renowned Cateran Trail passes through the area. For duller weather, there is an indoor games barn with table tennis, table football, pool/snooker table and badminton net in addition to a trampoline with safety net. Fishing equipment is available from owner and in the surrounding area golf is very well catered for with excellent courses at Alyth and Glenisla. Some very good restaurants are within a short drive and the surrounding area is ideal for touring with the towns of Blairgowrie and Perth close by. Shops, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
