Description  :Located in the Campsie Fells, Glengoyne Distillery was first licensed in 1833, and is Scotland's most southerly Highland distillery. The distillery was purchased by Lang Brothers in 1876, and is still owned by the same company. It draws water from a 50-foot waterfall in the Glengoyne Burn, to the north of the OHighland Line', and produces Scotland's only unpeated whisky. Naturally malted barley is used here, and the whisky produced is smooth and refined, with a light, fresh, delicate nose. The distillery offers tours, and there is a shop and Heritage Room, which houses a cooperage display, and old artefacts. Admission includes a free dram.
