Description :The most northerly whisky distillery in the world, Highland Park is located on a hillside with fine views over Scapa Flow. It stands on the site of an illicit still, and was founded in 1798, but had passed to the Grant family by 1900. It was acquired by Highland Distilleries Co in 1935, and has four stills. Water comes from springs below the distillery, and it still uses traditional floor maltings. The Highland Park 12-Year-Old has a smooth, smoky flavour, and 18- and 25-Year Olds are also available. Tours of the distillery are available and there is a visitor centre.
