Set on a working farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these two welcoming and spacious holiday properties have been renovated to a high standard. Set 4 miles apart amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The location epitomises country life with an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels and herds of deer, with nesting ospreys nearby. Excellent walking from the doorstep and in the beautiful nearby Angus Glens. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St. Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops 1½-3 miles.

1st comment: Lovely quiet but not isolated location. Super garden for children and dogs, None of the bathrooms are en-suite, so make sure you don’t wonder around without a dressing gown! The log fire was something very special - worth the effort to get it going. April 2012.

20th Comment The cottage has been located in a most lovely surrounding in the middle of open fields, including a large garden for outside breakfast, lunches and dinners. It offers perfect driving distances to either the city of Edinburgh or countryside trips - however, not losing the atmosphere of being in the middle of Scotland. July 2006.
