Customer Reviews of Mar Lodge, nr Huntly - Sleeps 2

st comment: A super location, super cottage. Very peaceful, and so much wildlife; deer, badger, and visit from a red squirrel every day. A baby woodpecker being fed on the pole of the bird table was a delight too! The log fire, with generous free logs was very welcome on the cooler evenings. June 2012.

nd comment: The property was absolutely fab! Old style cottage with every comfort you can imagine. The cottage was hidden in a forest with open views to the front of beautiful countryside. A fantastic place and location for a very relaxing break - highly recommend! P.s. the log fires in lounge and bedroom were a dream! April 2012.

rd comment: The cottage was warm and cosy and well equiped, situated in an ideal location for couples escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. We had a most enjoyable stay and look forward to our next visit. Nov 2011.

th comment: A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. If you want peace and quiet away from everything, this is just the place. Oct 2011.

th comment: The cottage had everything we needed. In addition, the location was wonderful and the furnishings in the cottage made it very special indeed. Aug 2011.

th comment: An extremely comfortable and well appointed country get-away. Everything we needed was provided. Aug 2011.

th comment: Probably the best appointed cottage we’ve had in 20 years of holiday lets in Scotland. July 2011.

th comment: We loved our stay at Mar Lodge. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We had our 4 month old son with us and really appreciated all the little touches left by the owner. We requested the travel cot but they also left us a changing mat and nappy bin. Also little touches like home made flapjack when we got there was left out for us and fresh flowers. The only thing is that the property is very secluded so if that’s not what you want than this is not the property for you. We were really impressed but the lodge and will be returning. Only problem for us was that we booked for just the weekend and when we got there really wished we had booked it for a week. June 2011.

th comment: Mar Lodge is a real diamond of a holiday cottage. Great location, well equipped - everything you want for a relaxing break. Lots of surprising little extras at no extra cost. Plenty to see and do in the area. A warm and friendly welcome from the owners. One not to be missed. April 2011.
