Customer Reviews of The Bothy, Loch Melfort - Sleeps 2

st comment: A lovely welcome at a clean and cosy cottage, well laid out and homely - and with plenty of character. Hanging baskets outside the door - and a bottle of wine from our hosts waiting on the table because we’d mentioned the holiday was a honeymoon. Nice walks into the hills start from the door. July 2011.

nd comment: the cottage was really very good except that there were no washing machine facilities which became a little difficult when staying for 2 weeks. The shower room toilet was not very clean and did not provide cleaning products (i.e. bleach - which we purchased ourselves). The road to the cottage from main A road was five miles of undulating (and frequently uphill) bad condition road (pot-holes) which was finally repaired on last day of holiday. Five miles took 20 minutes, same time to go 15 miles to Oban! Other than these points, the cottage was perfect! Sept 2009.

rd comment: Good description of the accommodation, pleasant surroundings. Standard and equipment. Aug 2009.

th comment: Beautiful lochs location with wonderful view on the doorstep. April 2008.

th comment: The cottage was very cosy, we loved it. It was one of our best holidays ever! March 2008.

th comment: If you want an away from it all holiday, and love the outdoors, wildlife, birds etc, this is the place for you, we loved it. June 2008.

th comment: Charming cottage in a such a peaceful location. Very much off the beaten track, which is exactly what we wanted. Excellent base for walking in the gorgeous surroundings. Cottage is compact! But has everything you need and the real log fire is delightful! July 2008.

th comment: We booked a week at this property as the 2nd week of our recent honeymoon. After a long tiring journey from Leicestershire we were met by a wonderful owner and an equally beautiful property. The description matched everything in the brochure/website and really was the perfect setting during the picturesque month of October. We were very happy with the facilities/property/surroundings and was the perfect place to ease ourselves into our new life together!! Oct 2007.

th comment: This trip was my first overseas trip and could not have been more satisfied. What a gorgeous little cottage. We went for a 5 day stay and could’ve stayed even longer. Delicious biscuits and tea were waiting for us upon arrival (what a pleasant welcome). The view of the loch from behind the owner’s house is just wonderful. I thought we might have been secluded from other houses (didn’t expect to see the owner’s house right in front of the unit) but it still was very laid back and away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. June 2007.
