In a spectacular scenic setting on the edge of a fresh-water loch, surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains, this most attractive modern bungalow offers a superb Highland retreat in a peaceful and remote area. Achmelvich is a small hamlet west of Lochinver with a beautiful white sand beach. The area is renowned for excellent fishing opportunities, with over 300 lochs to choose from - a boat is available at the property for guests to use at their own risk. There is plenty of scope for hill-walkers and climbers with the famous Torridon sandstone peaks of Canisp, Suilven and Quinag. The area boasts magnificent scenery and an abundance of wild and bird life. The attractive village of Lochinver is 2 miles away with a bustling fishing port where boat trips can be arranged, shops and pub/hotels.

The house stands in a large fenced garden with patio area taking advantage of the lovely views, garden furniture and a barbecue. Care should be taken as a burn runs through the garden. The interior is modern, bright and fresh and the spacious rooms are well appointed and very comfortably furnished with homely touches. All rooms on ground floor.

1 double bedroom with lovely view and en suite shower room, 2 twin and 1 single bedroom (cot available), large living/dining room with picture windows and patio doors, breakfasting kitchen, bathroom. "We had a wonderful holiday, partly because weather was fantastic"

4 of 5 stars

Good modern house with lots of space for extended family including baby and toddler. Usual conveniences including microwave, combi boiler so hot water all the time, efficient central heating although no fire. Bit low on cooking dishes and bowls, no casseroles and no food storage such as bread bin, tins etc. Loch is lovely for adult swimming and very shallow so warm and safe, and short car ride (or bike) to wonderful beaches. Midges might be a problem in July/August but we were lucky as it was sunny and a breeze mostly. Wonderful bit of the country and lots of hills, fishing, etc and some good places to eat, craft shops etc in Lochinver

"Fantastic property, stunning location & an unexpected heatwave i"

5 of 5 stars

We were a party of 6,(members of Barrow Mountaineering & Ski Club) ranging in age from 40 to 73yrs old. The accommodation was perfect for us to share;it contained everything we needed, was clean, spacious, with plenty of room to spread out.Very well maintained, with stunning views over the loch. Beautiful loch side location, perfect peace & quiet; the unexpected heatwave 24 degrees with wall to wall sunshine meant we could use the BBQ in March. The clear night skies were an absolute delight to us city dwellers. It was possible to walk to the nearby beaches, also to Lochinver over the fells & there were many mountains to climb without having to drive a long way. The icing on the cake was being able to take the boat out on the loch. A fantastic time was had by all.
