Just to the north lie the ruins of Slains Castle. Positioned close to the famous Whisky and Castle Trails, this is an ideal location to base your Highland holiday, whether you want the tranquillity of the countryside or the entertainment and nightlife of Aberdeen, 23 miles away. Fishing and boat trips are available from Peterhead and there are many other trout and river fisheries locally. Shops, pub and restaurants 2 miles.
