Located in peaceful countryside and surrounded by the rolling Galloway Hills, these two adjoining byre holiday conversions provide an ideal base from which to explore this quiet Machars Peninsula with its rugged coastline and sandy beaches. Beautifully converted and furnished, they are set on an organic sheep and beef farm accessed by a well-maintained farm road and provide an ideal place to relax and unwind. Home to some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens, the area benefits from a temperate climate due to the gulf stream, and is a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers. With the beautiful Galloway Forest Park and seven stanes close by, this is a popular area for walkers and cyclists of all abilities. Sea, river and loch fishing available in the surrounding area with sailing, watersports and golf in abundance. Wigtown, Scotland’s national book town and Whithorn’s historic dig and priory all nearby, while Newton Stewart has a good range of shops, pubs, eateries, cinema and swimming pool. There are also good tennis courts and an 18-hole golf course. Shop 1 mile, pub 3 miles.
