Customer Reviews of The Gardener's Cottage, nr Langholm - Sleeps 8-10

st comment: The house is in a lovely quiet location, so is ideal for families and pets. The garden is huge and it was great to see so many birds and the occasional pheasant, in there. The accommodation was spacious and the furnishings comfortable. One area that could do with some improvement is storage space in the kitchen cabinets. Although there were plenty of them, nearly all were full - a "de clutter" would help as it leaves little space to store food stuffs. This is a very miner gripe though in what is otherwise a hard to fault property. Oct 2011.

nd comment: The cottage is excellent. Far better than is suggested by the pictures on the website. Finding the cottage is tricky - espececially as directions on website don’t have a starting point so you are never quite sure you are on the right road. June 2011.

rd comment: We needed 5 bedrooms with at least one double and one bathroom on the ground floor, due to my fathers illness. This was key to our booking. The property offered spacious accommodation with the kitchen and open plan dining room being our favourite, the hub of the house!! The garden is simply beautiful and so, so big. Not least, the location! If you seek a tranquil setting amongst hills and forests, look no further, it’s idyllic! Feb 2011.

th comment: We like the whole set-up of the cottage. Oct 2010.

th comment: The location was better than expected. Oct 2010.

th comment: It was homely, peaceful, interesting. The walled garden was beautiful and great for sitting out in and for the dogs. The accommodation was excellent. We hope to return. July 2010.

th comment: Lovely cottage, beautiful gardens, rural, quiet just what we needed. March 2010.

th comment: This was a most wonderfully relaxing location. The cottage was well appointed and very close to many of our desired destinations. We had wanted to book this cottage since first we viewed it and we were not disappointed!! May 2009.

th comment: It felt very homely, and was nice and clean on arrival. July 2009.

th comment: Although it poured every day we snuggled up in the cosy kitchen and the dogs loved the enclosed garden, although the nearby Forest of Ae had excellent walks too. We had a delightful weekend. Nov 2008.
