Customer Reviews of The Old Church, Sconser on Skye, Sleeps 2

st comment: Perfect getaway place, fantastic location, very homely and so WARM! Oct 2011.

nd comment: The cottage was perfect, scenery breath taking. It was a very peaceful place but was within easy reach of many sight seeing activties. Weather was not to bad (which meant the midges were not to bad either). I would certainly go back again. Aug 2011.

rd comment: Truly stunning location with excellent views. The conversion has been carried out to a high standard. Nov 2010.

th comment: Fantastic position, stunning views, good walks from the front door. Sept 2010.

th comment: Fantastic location, well presented and looked after and very homely. A property that has been very well and tastefully converted from a church to a home. July 2010.

th comment: The old Church as Ratagan was beautiful inside and out with spectacular scenery. The internal finish was more than we could wish for, it was spectacular. The Old Church is beautifully furnished and had all the equipment we required. Dec 2009.

th comment: The location was stunning, with wonderful views across the loch and ideally placed for pleasant walks in the area. A car was essential though as it was a couple of miles from the nearest shop and pub. All the rooms were spacious and recently decorated and there were 2 lovely en-suite bathrooms with excellent showers. The property was fully equipped with all modern conveniences, although we did struggle with the TV/DVD operation. The kitchen layout was frustrating as the cooker was in the utility room. The owner, who lives away, was very friendly and helpful when I spoke to him on the telephone and the property had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Aug 2009.

th comment: Fantastic location, lovely views over the loch & great forest walks nearby. Feb 2009.

th comment: Spacious, tasteful and high quality. Kitchen arrangements with oven in a separate room was slightly odd but generally very good characterful accommodation. Could have done with more guidance about using the TV equipment. July 2009.

th comment: Very spacious accommodation. Woodburning stove great when weather poor. Fantastic views from the picnic bench in garden. Location excellent, very peaceful area right by the loch (watched otter and porpoises from window) but reasonably close to facilities such as pub, restaurant, half-hour drive to supermarket. Cottage very spacious. Aug 2009.

th Comment The cottage was absolutely beautiful. Setting was so peaceful and inspiring. I would love to return as we already have so many happy memories of the whole week. April 2009.

th Comment Spacious accommodation in a fabulous location. March 2009.

th Comment A truly beautiful house in an idyllic setting - don’t miss nearby Totaig pier and Broch! June 2008.

th Comment Loch Duich is beautiful. The Old Church is cute and has ample space for 5 persons (3+2). Sept 2008.

th Comment A dramatic setting that encompasses the ruggedness of the mountains and peacefulness of the loch through your own window. April 2007.

th Comment Delightful setting with fabulous vies of the loch and the mountains beyond, ideally placed for a mixture of walking and sightseeing. Extremely spacious and well presented accommodation. March 2007.
