This traditional detached cottage stands in its own ground adjacent to the A85 just 0.5 mile from the Highland village of Tyndrum at the junction of the roads from Glasgow and from Stirling/Perth through to Oban and Fort William. This well known meeting place is without equal as a base for exploring the West of Scotland and the Highlands - north through Rannoch Moor to majestic Glencoe, west to Loch Etive and Loch Awe, east to the Trossachs or south to the beauties of Loch Lomond. The area is justifiably popular with hill-walkers as the West Highland Way passes through the village. There are 2 railway stations at Tyndrum, with the upper line serving the northern routes and the lower line providing access to Oban and Glasgow.

The cottage is simply furnished, warm and comfortable, an ideal choice for an active outdoor family holiday, with excellent maps and guides displayed for walking and mountain biking. Shop and restaurants 1/2 mile. Ample car parking.

1 bedroom with a double/twin bed, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds (cot available); living room, kitchen and shower room. Cooking by electricity, gas central heating. Fridge, microwave, spin dryer, dishwasher, digital television, DVD player.

"Great location and value for money."

I stayed here as it seemed good value and was an ideal base for me to climb a few more Munros in the Southern Highlands. It was better accomodation than I`d expected, plenty of room, warm and very private, despite being next to a main road. There were plenty of trees in the garden and the views were great. It`s not luxury accomodation, but it was ideal for me and I was sad to leave.

"A great base to explore Scottish hills."

A comfortable base for enjoying high and low level walking or exploring the wonderful surrounding countryside. Basic but all you need for a comfortable base in a delightful area. Lots of good walking nearby and other activities nearby.
