Comments  :An excellent after-dinner malt from a beautifully situated distillery. Very popular.

Description  :Located in a scenic bay with otters and swans, the original distillery at Laphroaig (pronounced 'La-froyg' and meaning 'the beautiful hollow by the broad bay') was founded by Donald and Alex Johnston in 1815 and is housed in white-washed buildings.
