Is that all there is to it? Well yes and no! Different rates apply to different rooms and different facilities. For example a cheap rate may not include breakfast and be termed "room only" Our advice is to look a little closely at the inclusions to ensure that there are no nasty surprises.

Is there much difference between different websites

Simple answer: you bet! We have seen rate differences of 100% between the cheapest and the expensive for exactly the same room and terms! So there is a definite benefit in shopping around before you book.

Will I get the same rate from the hotel?

Usually not. These are negotiated rates between the hotel and the websites and are specific for them. Hotels usually don't offer the same and the reservations teams are rarely authorised to offer this deal to you. These bookings come from an inventory which is held by the website so if you see a good price and want to travel... book as once the website has sold these rooms it won't usually get them again.
