This is our Travel Scotland selection of hotels in Carradale, Argyll.
Carradale is a fishing village, thirteen miles up the east coast of Kintyre and nestled in the sweep of the Carradale Bay. The coast as such is much more gentler than the west and is sheltered from the Atlantic winds.
Its pretty little harbour along with the small fishing fleet and the sandy beach lying towards the south breathes some life into this otherwise boring village. You can also take some time and peek into the informative Network Carradale Heritage Centre.
Tread a mile to the south and you come upon the Grogport Tannery within the imposing Scots Baronial Torrisdale Castle. From the summit of Cnoc-nan Gabhor, you can enjoy great views of Kintyre and across to Arran.
