This, cosy, single storey cottage is set in its own garden yet close to the centre of the village with good selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. It makes a great base for exploring this fascinating region. Near the Crown Estate of Glenlivet in the Cairngorm National Park there is pony trekking and walking. Further afield are the ski slopes of the Lecht and Cairngorm, cycle trails, fishing, adventure playground with flying fox and maze and the Whisky Trail. The majestic mountain scenery surrounds the village and the sandy beaches of the Moray Coast are an hour’s drive. Shops, pubs and restaurants 500 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed, beams and Velux/dining room. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room inc. Oil CH, elec, bed linen and towels inc. Freesat TV. DVD. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. Coin-operated t/dryer. Enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (3 cars). No smoking.

1st comment: Stayed here before so knew what to expect. Plentiful supply of towels, hairdryer for residents use an added bonus, well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils and cleaning supplies, etc. Warm and comfortable. Log man delivered logs within 10 minutes of us ordering them on arrival. Feb 2012. 2nd comment: Lovely Cottage, well situated within the village. Fantastic time of the year to visit with so much going on in the nature world. So many walks available in the area of the Cairngorms. Great Bistro, The Clockhouse less than 5mins walk away from the cottage. June 2011. 3rd comment: Excellent location, shops, pub and restaurant are all really handy and within easy walking distance. The perfect location for a really relaxing break away from it all, but near enough to civilisation to not feel out of it. May 2011. 4th comment: Very attractively decorated and resourced. Aug 2010. 5th comment: Nicely refurbised, well laid out. July 2010. 6th comment: The cottage was so well equipped , and there was so much extra bits in the cottage for night time or rainy days like dvds, games. The owners have spent a lot of time on extra details which were very good. I would love to own it and live there in it. June 2010. 7th comment: The location !! March 2010. 8th comment: We found that the accommodation was of excellent quality and we felt right at home, they even had a hair dryer and plenty of towels, games for the family and a couple of DVD’s. First class property. Will definitely look to book again soon. Feb 2010.
