Quietly situated in Wigtown, Scotland’s book town, in the heart of Galloway amidst some of the finest scenery in southern Scotland, this traditional, detached, stone-built house stands in extensive gardens and provides an ideal holiday base from which to explore the breathtaking scenery and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, wilderness and romance. From the Galloway Hills with their many hidden lochs, burns and waterfalls to the beautiful Solway coastline with sandy beaches, rocky coves and picturesque villages, there is plenty to explore.

Customer Reviews of Dunure Holiday House, Wigtown - Sleeps 14

st comment: A large impressive house with plenty of space and a large enclosed private garden which was great for the dogs. The property is reasonably well situated for touring the area in a quiet small town, but with just enough facilities nearby eg shop, bank, pub. The house had plenty of equipment but does need some TLC from the owner - but overall it was good value for money and I would go again! March 2012.

nd comment: The property afforded both comfort and personal space for the 9 adults and 5 children who holidayed there. We particularly liked the children’s sitting room complete with television and DVD player, as it afforded space and comfort for the adults to enjoy the other sitting room. Whilst the property is in need of some TLC, it is nevertheless clean and comfortable. Feb 2011.

rd comment: Some of the decor was a little tired but suited us as we had 5 kids with us, and we felt it was good value for money. It was very spacious. Feb 2011.

th comment: Commodious. Well equipped. Good arrangement for bedding and towels. Liked availability of logs. Excellent fridges (and freezer, washing machine etc. - not used). Nov 2010.

th comment: Size of the property was fantastic. It enabled families to participate or "have their own space". Also ideal for children and adults to have separate relaxing areas....Superb. We loved it. Oct 2010.

th comment: Spacious, comfortable and well kitted out. The garden was a boon for the kids. Very relaxing atmosphere with lots of good shops and walks to fill out your day. Sept 2010.

th comment: Large, well equipped rooms, comfortable. Sept 2010.

th comment: The house is fantastic, just as advertised on the Website. Lots of space, comfortably furnished with everything you may need. Lovely spacious enclosed garden. Aug 2010.

th comment: The size of the property was good and well equipped. Large garden was brill and the trampoline was good for the children. Aug 2010.

th comment: This was the best holiday we have had. The setting, accommodation and helpfulness but not intrusiveness of people was fantastic. Feb 2010.
