Haugh house is on a small private estate. The house backs onto a riverside walk along the banks of the River Spey and is furnished and equipped to a good standard. Peaceful and quiet yet within walking distance of Aberlour’s interesting shops and eateries, the house makes a wonderful base to relax and enjoy the area’s many attractions. Accessed by a gate from the rear garden, the Speyside Way, as it is known, meanders through the village, through Strathspey down to Tomintoul taking in many well known distilleries on the Whisky Trail - ideal for walkers and cyclists alike. There is a large choice of golf courses within an hour’s drive and fishing can be arranged on the river with day permits available locally. The excellent beaches of the Moray Firth are just 20 miles away, notably Lossiemouth and Nairn, and the historic town of Elgin with its cathedral and Cashmere Centre is worth a visit. Enjoy! Great location for a holiday with shops , pubs, etc within walking distance. Beautiful views and walks right from the back of the house itself. Fascinating area with plenty to see and do to keep you occupied for the week. House clean and tidy, modern furnishings but all part of a set so the house dd not look hotchpotch as so many holiday homes do. All equipment and rooms presented to a high standard.
Not a cheap property to rent, hence a slightly lower mark for value for money, nevertheless highly recommended .
