Customer Reviews of Tigh Dhomhnaill Cottage, Staffin - Sleeps 5

An excellent location just below the Quiraing for some great walking only a few minutes' drive away. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach and had very friendly hosts living just next door. A very well equipped cottage, everything in and out is immaculately maintained.

The views from all of the rooms in the cottage were outstanding. It was very easy to keep the cottage warm and dry even though the weather was poor. Everywhere that we went on Skye had spectacular scenery and all the people that we met at the visitor attractions or in the shops were very friendly and helpful.

The owners are nice friendly people and their house is large, very well appointed, warm and scrupulously clean. The views are stunning and the location is very quiet. My family and I highly recommend this house for a holiday in Skye.

This was an exceptional holiday cottage, immaculate and very well managed. It is in a stunning location with outstanding views across Staffin Bay and has the dramatic Tortternish Ridge and Quiraing as its background. It is a great base to explore the whole island or just take in the beauty of the immediate area.

We had a great stay at the holiday cottage, it is very cosy and comfortable with everything you need. The owners who live close by were very friendly and helpful but in no way obtrusive. Staffin beach is just a short walk down the hill, the kids loved this.

The story of Flora Macdonald is well known and her courageous support for Bonnie Prince Charlie. She is buried in Kilmuir Cemetary with a cross as a monument. A lovely location with the sea in the distance. Johnson's epitaph remains as moving as ever.
