The Glens of Angus are to the east of Perthshire, south of the Grampians and north of Dundee, a series of five glens (valleys) running parallel to each other and all of them beautiful, peaceful and offering plenty of relatively painless hillwalking opportunities.
Getting there and around Kirriemuir is the gateway to Glens Isla, Prosen and Clova, while the other two, Glens Lethnot and Esk, are reached via Brechin. There are regular buses to Brechin and Kirriemuir from Dundee, but getting around the glens is not easy without your own transport as there is only a limited postbus service.
