In a beautiful location, surrounded by mountains and wonderful views towards Loch Linnhe, this exceptionally well-furnished single-storey house sits on the edge of the Dragon’s Tooth 9-hole golf course, and offers excellent holiday accommodation.
Only a few miles from the famous village of Glencoe and 10 miles from Fort William, it is ideally situated, with golf literally on the doorstep, and climbing, walking, skiing, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing and fishing all close by. The Jacobite Steam Train (seasonal) in Fort William allows views of some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, or for the more energetic the Ice Factor in Kinlochleven offers climbers the chance to climb the largest ice wall in the UK. Travel by gondola up Aonoch Mor mountain and enjoy the restaurant with panoramic views, or visit the dry ski slope and world class mountain bike track.
Wildlife is in abundance with wild deer, porpoises, Minke whales, otters and a variety of birds often seen in the area. There are plenty of beautiful gardens and ruined castles to be visited, and the area is famous for its rich historical legacy. Oban, Inverness, Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye are all within easy reach, or take the short crossing on Corran Ferry and head for the Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point in Britain. Ballachulish Hotel and the Club House restaurant and bar are both within walking distance. Shop 2 miles.

Customer Reviews of Moulin House, Ballachulish - Sleeps 6

1st comment: Super!! We were a party of 6, lots of room, good beds, plenty of hot water. A joy for the golfers in our party. Sept 2011.

2nd comment: The property is located by the loch and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. A secluded, quiet and classic highland feel to the place. The only intrusion is the golfers but that didn’t bother us. Places to eat out are limited, but Co-op in nearby Ballachulish village (about 2 miles) is handy. Fort William is the nearest main town and about 10 miles away. The Glencoe pass is nearby and spectacular. We would recommend taking a remote drive through nearby Glen Etive to see deer. We were warned about midges but didn’t encounter any. Climbed up a mountain called Sgorr Dhearg which is on the doorstep - quite challenging but worth a try if you like that sort of thing. OS map is handy. May 2011.

3rd comment: Situated in a glorious location and impeccably furnished. Oct 2009.

4th comment: Fantastic luxury property. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Oct 2009.
