Nestling amongst the trees of Ord Hill above North Kessock and just minutes drive from the Highland capital of Inverness, Squirrel Cottage makes the perfect holiday base for exploring the wonders of the Highlands.

Visit Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Glen Affric, and Fort George, or slightly further afield is the stunning scenery of the west coast and the Isle of Skye. A trip to the Orkney Islands is recommended, or to the unspoilt beaches of the Moray Coast where you might see the famous bottlenose dolphins.

Many historic sites, castles and whiskey distilleries are amongst the many attractions available. Golf, kayaking, hill walking and mountain biking are available.

4th comment: Squirrel Cottage was an absolute joy. Although beautifully situated in woodland it was within easy reach of main town Inverness. Plenty to do and see, made a lot easier by the thoughtful brochure’s provided. The cottage is really well situated for visiting all of the Highland’s,with plenty of options. I would highly recommend this cottage , and Linda, the owner who is close by but not in any way intrusive was very friendly and helpful . The standard of the cottage is first class. June 2011.
