Customer Reviews of Ach-na-Clachan, Gairloch, Sleeps 6

1st comment: We had a lovely stay enjoying the peace, tranquillity and the dramatic surrounding countryside. The cottage is very well equipped, we found everything we could possibly need and some extra luxuries. We particularly enjoyed the views and the real fire for a cosy stay in wild weather. The cottage was immaculately clean and well heated even without the fire which is vital in February. We did plenty of reading and some great local walks. We particularly enjoyed the local links to the battle of the Atlantic at Loch Ewe: an unexpected history lesson. We come to the west of Scotland in February every year and try a slightly different area each time. I would recommend this cottage for a quiet stay at this time of year but there were a few caravan sites which would put us off later in the year as the village would be much busier (however there might be more restaurants actually open.) The weather is usually dry but cold but we did have a fair bit of rain this year. We can recommend the local pubs for food (but none were open within easy walking distance) and a trip to Applecross is a must for a special lunch and amazing scenery. Feb 2012.

2nd comment: This is a wonderful house with everything you can ask for. Local restaurants have a great choice of food and the shops are well stocked. The house has fantastic views and has great access to everything locally. Oct 2011.

3rd comment: Property has good sized rooms and spacious. Well equipped kitchen, view from all the rooms changes every two minutes as the weather passes through. Good selection of restaurants in close proximity. Golf course is a hidden gem. We were there in October so no midges! Oct 2011.
