Customer Reviews of Driftwood, Southerness, Dumfries, sleeps 10

st comment: Driftwood is a great house in an even greater beach front location. The open plan kitchen and living area is fabulous with superb views out of every window. There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area and there is a great pub within a 5 minute walk which serves superb barfood (would highly recommend the fajitas!) We also enjoyed day trips to Mabie Farm Park and Cream O Galloway (both a big hit with the kids). All in all, a great family holiday made all the better by the lovely warm, sunny weather! A fantastic summer destination. July 2011.

nd comment: Clean and tastefully decorated in the ’nautcal’ theme. Feb 2011.

rd comment: Good position and great views. Enjoyed log fire (collecting driftwood). Cottage comfortable, especially the beds (a real blessing as you get older). Easy access to shore, great for both children and dogs. Hope to book again soon. Feb 2011.

th comment: Light, spacious and well laid out. July 2010.

th comment: The location was superb. Jan 2010.

th comment: Driftwood was ideal for our children as the living area is a large open space with the bedrooms all on the same level. Jan 2010.

th Comment Very spacious, neat and tidy. However the time of year we went (November) it tended to be a bit chilly. This is not a complaint, we realise it is hard to heat such an area, but the heater in the room was not really suitable for the job. Great views though, fantastic location. Oct 2009.

th Comment Good position right by the sea. Aug 2009.

th Comment Comfortable, spacious house in a superb location. Oct 2008.
