Market Stance Geddes, near Nairn, Sleeps 4

This stunning, unique holiday property is the ideal base for a romantic, luxurious retreat, surrounded by landscaped gardens. Perfect romantic getaway.

This stunning 18th-century property (with additions), set in 2 acres of secluded gardens and woodland, has been most tastefully renovated to the highest of standards to retain many of the original features. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard, Market Stance is a unique property and unusually has within the grounds just a few metres from the main house, an orangerie – an impressive Italianate-style building with colonnaded frontage and French doors out to the gardens. The orangerie houses a very large bedroom with en-suite shower room and dressing room, as well as tea/coffee making facilities.

Only approximately 4 miles from the popular coastal town of Nairn, Market Stance makes a perfect base for exploring this lovely part of the Northern Highlands. Take a trip along the beautiful Moray coastline, where you can visit some of the lovely fishing villages and amazing beaches; perhaps you will catch sight of the famous Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins. You can also take a trip along the Moray Malt Whisky Trail, the only one of its kind in the world! Inverness, the Highland capital, Culloden Battlefield, the historic Fort George and the world-renowned Loch Ness are all within an easy drive. Further afield, take a day trip to enjoy the stunning scenery of the west coast and the Isle of Skye, or visit the Orkney Isles with its many archaeological sites and unspoilt beaches. Amongst the many activities available in the area, are boat and fishing trips (a trout fishery is just up the hill from the house), a large range of watersports, mountain biking, horse riding and golf to name but a few. A stay in Market Stance will always evoke happy memories. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
