Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, Milovaigs, Isle of Skye - Sleeps 6

Star gazers with love this traditional stone cottage in a Dark Sky area, stunning views of Waterstein Head and Moonen Bay. Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. No dogs.

It must have been quite a walk for the lighthouse keeper to make his way to the lighthouse in the old days! It might not be on the coast, but this is located in a lovelty area on the North West tip of Skye.

This stone croft cottage overlooks Loch Pooltiel in the NW of the beautiful Isle of Skye, surrounded by the ancient and wild landscape it is known for.

Views from its elevated position are stunning. South are Waterstein Head and Moonen Bay; north are Dunvegan Head and Outer Hebrides.

Enjoy the utter peace and tranquillity. Being in a Dark Sky area, the night skies are truly remarkable - you might possibly witness the Aurora Borealis!

Customer Reviews of Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, Milovaigs, Isle of Skye - Sleeps 6

1st comment: A fantastic cottage in a truely beautiful setting, amazing scenery on your door step. The cottage would comfortably take six, good size rooms for all, very comfortable. We will return again and again. Feb 2012.

2nd comment: Weather was wet! Don’t let that put you off as even the wet weather couldn’t put a dampner on skye. We have stayed at exactly the same time of year other times and the weather was beautiful. Oct 2011.

3rd comment: Although our visit was in May/June, the solid fuel stove was a must on the cold wet evenings! The beds were very comfortable and the Egyptian cotton sheets like silk! The kitchen was well equipped - a real home from home. We found it hard to leave! May 2011.

4th comment: No need to wax lyrical about Skye here... the cottage has everything you want when you go to Skye. Peace and quiet, warmth, a great kitchen, the sea only a short stroll away and sheep all over the place. April 2011.

5th comment: It was full of character and in a beautiful place, although it is quite remote. July 2010.

6th comment: Well built, cosy, warm and beautiful. May 2010.

7th comment: It was a real home from home, light and airy feel with a real cottage atmosphere. Oct 2009.
