Kyleakin

Kyleakin is a village situated on the east coast of the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland. The village is along the strait of Kyle Akin opposite the northwest Scottish mainland town of Kyle of Lochalsh.

The village curves around an old fishing harbour now popular with yachtsmen. The end of the bay features an old ruinous castle that can be walked to - Caisteal Maol - which was built in the fifteenth century.

The village was site for the ferry terminal but since the opening of the bridge, the village has become much quieter with most visitors simply driving past.
