Sympathetically modernised to retain the original character the lodge offers very comfortable, unpretentious accommodation and is ideal for a couple or small family. The secluded garden, which is safely enclosed from the road and backs on to the extensive grounds of the main house, has grassy areas, a patio with outdoor furniture and private parking.

Edzell has good shops, hotels, restaurants and parks, the golf course is a short walk from the house and there are tranquil walks along the River Esk. To the north lie the magnificent Angus glens leading deep into the Cairngorms National Park and offering walking, climbing and mountain biking in an area of outstanding natural beauty. 15 miles east lie the picturesque fishing villages, cliffs and golden sands of the North Sea coast. The road to Royal Deeside leads over the Cairn o'Mount pass with panoramic views over Angus.
