Laurencekirk

Laurencekirk, a settlement of Aberdeenshire County, is the largest village in the Howe'o in Scotland. Located just off the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road, this town nestles in the valley between the hill of Garvock and the Cairn o Mounth. Laurencekirk was known as "Conveth", a corruption of coinmheadh.

History suggests that the place was famous for making the handloom weaving and snuff boxes with the special type of airtight hinge.
