Fresh fish can be purchased from the boats which still land in the harbour, but should guests wish to dine out, there are several good restaurants locally and it is just ashort walk to the village pub. Helmsdale has shops which provide local produce and fulfil most needs, with great golf and fishing nearby. Try a day trip to Orkney, go shopping in the lovely town of Dornoch, visit the Castle of Mey, climb Ben Hope, take a walk in the Geopark in nearby Assynt National Park or go whale watching on a local boat; just a few of the opportunities available from Helmsdale. With many beautiful sandy beaches on the doorstep, guests are spoilt for choice. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
