Parbroath Castle

Ruined Seton Castle with only vaulting still visible in middle of agricultural field. Walk up.


Only a dovecot in standing position and some vaulting remains of this ancient castle that dates back to 12 century It was once quite a substantial castle but after 1633 started to fall into ruin and then in C19th the stone was largely removed for other purposes or to fill in the moat.

Just to the north of the intersection of the A92 and A913 north of Cupar. The castle remnants are in the middle of field before the Fernie Burn.
