York Lane is conveniently situated only yards from York Place and 5 minutes walk from Princes Street. There are plenty of Festival venues within easy walking distance including the Playhouse Theatre, The Stand Comedy Club and the Assembly Rooms. All the facilities of the city centre are therefore on your doorstep.
On 2½ levels, this very smart compact property is ideal for a couple seeking a very contemporary and stylish pied-a-terre.
Ground level - designer kitchen with high glass table and 3 stools for dining, shower room. Mid level - sitting room; Upper level - 1 single bedroom and 1 double bedroom.
Cooking by gas hob / electric oven and gas central heating. Fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, television, DVD, CD player. Bed linen and towels are provided.

"Excellent central accomodation"
This is a very nicely decorated modern flat with an excellent location near to a number of bus lines as well as numerous restaurants and pubs. The entrance level has a large kitchen and a small bathroom (with small shower). Five steps up is the living room. Eight further steps up is a single bedroom. The double bedroom is another five steps up. The stairs are wide and well lit; they were no problem at all for my 82 year old mother. All of the rooms have lots of natural light. When there was a small problem with hot water, I telephoned the owner and the problem was fixed the same day. The space for parking a car is tight for a North american, but fine for a Brit; the neighbour is very friendly and understanding. If I were going to suggest any improvement then I would mention the manufacturer's directions for the washer/driver; I never did figure out how to use the machine properly. There is no wifi, but it's available in many local eateries as well as in a nearby shopping centre. I have no hesitation recommending this flat to a couple or to two singles (three people is certainly possible, but it would be cosy in the living room).

"Perfect city break apartment"
Excellent location for visiting the city, on a quiet New Town back street, compact but very comfortable and exceedingly well maintained. On several levels so might not suit those with mobility problems. Mini supermarket close by. Parking in central Edinburgh a bonus, though I travelled by train on this occasion. Bus station nearby. My fourth stay in Edinburgh and this the best apartment so far.
