Customer Reviews of The Cottage, nr Wick - Sleeps 6

1st comment: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Quiet location. Comfortable and relaxing cottage to stay in. Sept 2011.

2nd comment: A great base for exploring the area. Very quiet, rural location. The cottage is spacious, clean and it was home from home as everything you could need was to hand. The owners were fantastic and very welcoming. As well as ourselves, our 3 children and 2 dogs were made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother. Fantastic location and a great place for a holiday!!! Aug 2011.

3rd comment: Very comfortable and extremly quiet location. Dont realise how big the cottage is until you go inside. June 2011.

4th comment: The property was well placed for visiting various areas, it is well furnished and comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend this property to anyone. Aug 2010.

5th comment: It was clean and comfortable, the owners where helpful and very friendly and it was a really nice place to stay. Aug 2010.

6th comment: The accommodation was excellent, spacious, well equipped, bright and airy. You really didn’t need to bring anything at all because everything you could possibly want was provided by our wonderful hosts. The cottage is like a tardis. It may look small on the outside but inside is spacious and extremely well equipped. The owner and her family made us all feel very welcome and were on hand 24/7 in case we had any problems, not that we did. If you want a holiday that is well and truly away from all the hustle and bustle then I would thoroughly recommend staying here. There are enough walks in the immediate area if you seek solitude and be at one with nature and the elements but it is also a gateway to the wonderful delights that the extreme north of Scotland has to offer. Aug 2009.

Why are 200 stones aligned in a pattern in this field (and there were probably 600 to start with). What was there purpose? This is the most striking and most mysterious of the stone lines in Caithness. Just off A99 South of Wick and easy to visit. (signposted)
