The busy and popular town of Oban is a mere 10-minute walk away from these semi-detached apartments (refs 27201 and 27202), making them an ideal holiday base. The town has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the Oban Whisky Distillery and McCaig’s Tower (locally called ’The Crown of Oban’), overlooking the bay, both make for enjoyable and interesting places to visit. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are a number of forest walks, cycle tracks and an abundance of wildlife, surrounded by stunning countryside. Thrill seekers can enjoy a Seafari trip to catch a glimpse of dolphins, whales and eagles, as well as the Corryvreckan Whirlpool. Ferry trips can be taken from the port of Oban to the nearby islands of Mull (the second largest of the Inner Hebrides), Iona and Islay. Other outdoor activities that can be found locally include go-karting, riding, sailling, fishing and golf. Lochgilphead, Inveraray, Glencoe and Fort William are all easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant 1/2 mile.
