Bungalow style cottage  on the north coast of Scotland that sleeps 6 (max) with wonderful views west towards the Kyle of Tongue. Set in own grounds with decking for the sunsets.

This 3 bedroomed single-story cottage is located just to the North of Tongue Village off A838 which is the road that runs along the North coast of Scotland. 

The cottage has its own grounds and enjoys lovely views to the West across the Kyle and north and south.

Internally, the cottage sleeps 6 in 1 x double en-suite, 1 x double and 1 x twin bedroom. There is a drawing room/lounge and kitchen with attached dining area. 

The village is within walking distance with hotel bar/restaurant (The Tongue Hotel & Ben Loyal) and village store/off license.

The location is ideal for exploring the North Coast and for walking, hiking, photography and just getting away from it all.

Along the coast to the East is Bettyhill with its beach, swimming pool and museum and towards the west along the coast is Durness and then Cape Wrath with outstanding coastline and Smoo Caves near Balnakeil. 

In the village of Tongue, there is an RBS, another hotel with bar & restaurant (The Ben Loyal).

      Built in 1678, it is the Scottish home of the Countess of Sutherland. Formerly the seat of the Clan Mackay, the house sits on the site of the clan's previous home. It is said to have been burned by Cromwell's army in 1656, while pursuing the Chief of Mackay. It was rebuilt by the Mackays several years later. But in 1829, Tongue House and the majority of the Mackay Estate had to be sold to pay off debts owing to the Sutherland family.
