Ballater is an exceptionally attractive village lying amongst magnificent mountain and forest scenery in Royal Deeside, a few miles from Balmoral Castle and less than an hour's drive from Aberdeen. This is an ideal base for exploring the Highlands or the North East coast, following the Whisky or Castle trails or enjoying the many outdoor activities available. There is an excellent local golf course, pony trekking, unlimited walking, climbing, fishing and an abundance of wildlife. Glenshee and The Lecht ski areas are both nearby offering winter sports. There are good local shops, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance.

Exceptionally well-maintained and appointed, this traditional, granite semi-detached cottage offers particularly comfortable and welcoming accommodation. Guests have use of a pretty enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue. The owners can provide cycles for the use of guests at their own risk.

1 double and 1 twin bedroom, very comfortable lounge, lovely dining/kitchen with open fire, shower-room. All electric plus open fire. Fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, 3 televisions, 1 video, 3 DVD players, CD player. A selection of videos, games and books are available. Bed linen and towels are provided.
