Customer Reviews of Beatons Nest, nr.Brechin, sleeps 4

st comment: A fantastic cottage, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Nothing seems to have been too much trouble for the owners to make a holiday one to remember. May 2012.

nd comment: Go with a minimal amount of household goods. We went via the supermarket then checked in , only to find the Owners very generous in their household provisions . Nov 2011.

rd comment: Rural setting but within easy reach of visitor attractions and major towns/cities. Excellent accommodation, real home from home. Would thoroughly recommend. Oct 2011.

th comment: An absolutely outstanding property with everything you could possibly need. (a note to say you dont need to take items like hairdryer, towels, or even dressing gowns). It is the best cottage we have stayed in, for its clean spacious and elegantly decorated rooms. It is in the perfect location for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Johnny and Cathy The owners are very friendly and give you a warm welcome as you arrive to fresh home made scones with jam and cream(which are to die for). They even if they have time give you a tour of the farm if you ask them and they inform you about the day-to-day of farm life. And also the castle that is close by they can inform you about a lot of its history. If you like history, in Brechin castle garden centre there is a museum called pictavia which is very interesting learning about the picts and the carvings on stones, which are placed throughout Scotland. There are a few towns to visit like montrose, dundee but we thought the best one was Forfar where there is a fantastic chip shop and plenty of shops. For tourist attraction Glamis castle was the best. Very interesting and enjoyable for all ages. But there is loads of leaflets and information packs in the cottage for alot of other places. We cant wait to visit again. Aug 2011.

th comment: This is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, (we have been renting holiday cottages for over 20 years). It was more like a home than a holiday cottage, with excellent quality throughout. We were even welcomed with warm scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam. There were fresh flowers in the bedrooms, all the tourist information was up to date, there were local ordinance survey maps available. All in all a very, very good cottage and well worth the money spent. Our hosts were always available should we have needed anything and were always exceedingly pleasant. June 2011.

th comment: This is a super place for a restful holiday and the accommodation is second to none. The owners, Cathy and Johnny, made us most welcome when we arrived with scones, cream and jam on the table. Johnny took us to see the new lambs which was most enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending this holiday to others. May 2011.

th comment: Bigger than I thought it would be, excellent facilities and had a great stay. Fantastic! Dec 2010.
