This well kept self contained holiday property, the wing of a cottage, has been furnished with style and flair to ensure a memorable relaxing break. Idyllically situated in an elevated position a short distance from Aboyne, it offers views over the gardens towards the River Dee, where salmon fishing can be arranged.

There are extensive grounds with varied birdlife and squirrels which regularly visit. Within walking distance of a pub and restaurant, the house is not far from the village of Aboyne, which has interesting shops and eateries, and in the summer has its own Highland Games – a feature throughout Deeside.

Balmoral Castle is well worth a visit and in winter skiing at the Lecht or Glenshee are both easily accessed. There are outdoor sports of all types – as well as fishing there is golf, hill walking, horse riding and even gliding at a nearby club.

1st comment: The cottage was lovely, met all of our expectations. We were surprised to find a Scottish wine and bunch of flowers waiting for us. Every morning we enjoyed watching the red squirrels, pheasant and other birds on feeder outside the cottage. It was an amazing holiday and we definitely want to visit Scotland again. May 2012.
