Ardstinchar Castle

Little survive to view of this 1450 Kennedy castle, only part of the keep some foundations. The castle was demolished in 1770 and the stone used to build a bridge.


The castle was a Kennedy fortress that succumbed to the conflict over Crossmaguel Abbey in 1601. There is a good walk that passes the castle - see AA website below
