Each house has its own private garden and has been cleverly designed to ensure privacy. The very spacious accommodation is warm and very comfortable (with air source heating and woodburners) and the ample living areas provide plenty of space to relax or enjoy family gatherings.

The Stables is a lovely spacious property with high ceilings and a woodburner, while The Barn and The Byre are great family houses with lovely views and plenty of room. The Coach House features a super master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and rolltop bath.

The properties are next to Tolquhon Gallery and Tolquhon Castle - known as one of the most pictureque castles in Grampian. This is ’castle country’ and there are many to explore in the area. There are many golf courses at hand, while Pitmedden Gardens and Haddo House are close by. Within easy reach of Balmedie Beach, Cruden Bay and Forvie Sands. Aberdeen is just half an hour’s drive.

Customer Reviews of The Coach House, by Tolquhon Castle - Sleeps 6

1st comment: The best we have been in everything was excellent. May 2012.

2nd comment: One of the best cottages we have stayed in, first class finish top quality amenities would highly reccomend this cottage to anyone. April 2012.

3rd comment: Very spacious property. Ideal for families who want space for kids to run around inside. Modern minimalist feel. Nice oak furniture. You may feel a bit like you ought to tell kids to be very careful as it’s so new that there’s no marks on white walls and beige carpet! The castle is a must. Beaches are fantastic. Needs bigger saucepans - not suitable for large family cooking unless they add to collection. Would recommend. March 2012.

4th comment: The accommodation is excellent with high quality furnishings and plenty of space. It is warm and very comfortable even when it snows! The situation is rural but there is just so much to do with castles, the coast, Aberdeen and country walks all around you. It is adjacent to a wonderful art gallery and a historic castle. Both are well worth visiting. March 2012.

5th comment: This property exceeded our expectations. Whilst there were other properties close by, we re not aware of other people being there. This accommodation was first class and we had a lovely time. We would definitely consider renting again and have already recommended this to our friends. Dec 2011.
